You know the feeling that you get after winning a game or a race that you trained really hard for? You feel accomplished and proud of yourself because you know you put in the time and effort and you avoided taking shortcuts. This month, you’ve been learning that when you choose to skip practice or give anything less than 100%, you are cheating your teammates, coaches, and yourself. If you are faced with a challenge and decide to take the easy way out, you’ll never get stronger, faster, or smarter. Overcoming challenges and achieving goals are direct results of hard work and dedications. The path to success may not be easy and it definitely doesn’t have any shortcuts, but it is the path that I will always choose to take.
